Role: Air Conditioning Engineer
Reports to: Client Account Manager
Location: Central London Prime Residential / Commercial 
Shift pattern: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm – 40 hours per week

Purpose and objectives of the role:

  • Responsible for ensuring that the air conditioning systems and services within buildings work effectively, efficiently and safely.
  • To carry out planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the site supervisor andor Service Delivery Manager Including, but not limited to all routine maintenance and reactive tasks you would normally associate with building services.
  • Ensure engineering standards are maintained in order to maximise the operation effectiveness and reliability of the plant and associated systems.
  • To ensure company QA and site procedures are adhered to in all aspects.
  • Ensure Company & Site, Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Maintain accurate site records/documentation in association with all site works in a timely fashion to meet KPI requirements. Keeping all log books fully up to date.
  • To inspect the condition of services and proactively deal with any day-day issues that may arise.
  • Comply with Company Health, Safety and Environmental procedures

To deliver exceptional property services to all our customers and clients which align with key performance indicators and targets, ensuring high standards are consistently met together with observing all legal, statutory, and regulatory requirements.

Main duties and responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and servicing of large commercial and Super Prime residential/mixed use development air conditioning systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC issues ensuring a resolution is met within SLA
  • Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs of air conditioning systems and equipment.
  • Perform F-Gas checks and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including service reports and maintenance logs.
  • Basic install of AC systems to replace old faulty parts
  • Attending to breakdowns on AHUs/FCUs on sites as required
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to plan and execute air conditioning projects and upgrades.
  • Provide technical support for air conditioning systems and assist in troubleshooting issues.
  • Document all maintenance and repair activities, keeping accurate records.
Internal and External Customer Relations:
  • Always maintain a professional image of the company, while upholding and building effective relationships with colleagues, clients, and customers.
  • Maintain a flow of detailed information to Head Office.
  • Make certain work areas are left clean and tidy and carry out work in safe manner, adhering to company and site policy, procedures, and risk & method statements.
  • Assist in monitoring practices to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Report any H&S issues to management.
  • Undertake robust site-specific risk assessments.

Trade specific Qualifications/Skills:
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience working in a similar role within either prime residential or high-end hotel environments or commercial.
  • C&G / NVQ Level 3 in mechanical maintenance
  • Certificate in Air-Conditioning (desirable)
  • Hold F-Gas 2079 Cat 1 and NVQ level 2 (desirable).
  • Electrical C&G 2330 / 2365 level 2 / 18th Ed beneficial (desirable).
  • Understanding of HVAC plant in a prime residential and commercial environment.
  • Experience covering a range of HVAC systems in residential and commercial environments.
  • Strong experience in Air Conditioning unit repairs (i.e. leak detection/repair, compressor/component replacement, etc.
  • Experience of splits, multis, VRF/VRVs.
  • Experience of manufacturers such as Mitsubishi, Daikin etc
  • Excellent IT Skills and proficiency working via a PDA/mobile device and writing reports.
  • Outstanding customer service and client-facing skills.
